Since then objects that were made before the year 1830 are classified as an antique.

In US the Americans experienced the contrast point of news in their shops, as to a new Englander who knows the pine furniture of Pilgrim days, a Victorian sofa does not seem as antique. But in Nebraska or Oregon it does, because it represents the earliest furnishings in the region, people interpret the age of antique seems to vary in relation to their environments. An object deserves to the name " antique " should refer to not only its age but as well to its originality, craftsmanship and design.
